Wayne Scully - co-owner SLMA

Upon graduation from Boston University, Wayne immediately entered the automotive aftermarket as a territory sales person for Eastern Tool Warehouse in West Caldwell, NJ. He called on New England jobbers until 1979, when he became the regional sales manager covering 2 warehouses and 5 salespeople.

 

In 1983 another promotion to national sales manager increased the scope of his management responsibilities to include 25 sales people, marketing, advertising, and program development and implementation.

 

In 1985, as vice president of sales, Wayne established accounts with UPS, US Post Office, Coke, and other large fleets. The ETW Corp. grew to national prominence and sales increased each year.

 

Despite the rewarding career, the opportunity to work closer to home and spend more time with his family became a priority. Wayne and Ken Lemoine established Scully Lemoine Marketing Associates Inc. in 1985.

 

Wayne continues to try to bring the agency closer to the end user by performing upwards of 25 clinics a year on several different topics.

Kenneth Lemoine - co-owner SLMA

Prior to the establishment of SLMA, Ken’s aftermarket experience spanned 10+ years at all levels of sales and marketing management.

 

Work with Maremont Exhaust’s territorial sales in New England led to regional and group sales management roles with McQuay / SKF Industries. The combination of hard parts experience and the ability to work concurrently with factory sales and manufacturer’s representatives in the traditional, export, and retail segments gave Ken the unique perspective necessary to become the national sales manager for the Marson Corp.

 

Marson, in the early '80s, was the market leader in body fillers, rivet tools, rivets, and PBE supplies. By late 1985 the desire for entrepreneurship and an opportune discussion with Wayne Scully lead to the formation of SLMA.

 

As a motor head, he is completely at home in a manager / buyer’s office or a service garage. Ken’s automotive, technical, and instructional skills were honed with his growing interest in sports cars. For over 25 years Ken has been a vintage sports car owner and enthusiast. He currently owns 7 cars.  

 

Having personally restored Jaguars, MGs, Mercedes, most recently a prewar Alvis (a high-performance British luxury tourer), and a Mini Cooper, Ken has a thorough working knowledge of the products he sells because he personally uses them in his restorations. He lives in a pre-Revolutionary home with his wife, Helen.
